It’s not antisocial to want to go out camping and enjoy some peace and quiet.  In this video Dorrie has some tips to help you visit campgrounds when they’re going to be a little less crowded.

Let’s face it - a campsite is usually going to have dirt on it. And keeping that dirt on the campsite and out of your camper isn’t always easy especially if you’re going in and out of the camper all day. So here are a couple tips from Dorrie that keep the amount of camper cleaning to a minimum.Give ‘em a try and let us know what you think.

One issue that you don’t always think about when you go camping is having dry towels. Sure, if you’re only gonna be camping for a day, it’s not a big deal. You can go in the suitcase, grab a towel and it doesn’t matter if it dries out.

But if you’re going to be camping for several days and swimming for all of them you’re probably going to want your towels to be dry (wet towels really kinda suck in my opinion). Here’s the solution we use when we go camping to make sure we have dry towels. It’s a little bit simpler than dragging along a dryer.

Sorry I’m just a little late getting up this week’s episode. In this week’s Camping Minute, you’ll learn some helpful tips for keeping mosquitoes out of your campsite by using tiki torches and citronella candles. Unless you’re camping in the winter, then you’ll probably need to be prepared for mosquitoes so just come prepared and they won’t bother you at all.

In Episode 4, we talk about the advantages of taking an electric heater with you on camping trips. If your campsite has electric hookups, then it just makes sense. For example, rather than using your propane to heat your camper, you can use your electric heater which will save you money since you already paid for the electric site.Also, an electric heater is really handy if you run out of propane on a cool, fall evening.
