One issue that you don’t always think about when you go camping is having dry towels. Sure, if you’re only gonna be camping for a day, it’s not a big deal. You can go in the suitcase, grab a towel and it doesn’t matter if it dries out.
But if you’re going to be camping for several days and swimming for all of them you’re probably going to want your towels to be dry (wet towels really kinda suck in my opinion). Here’s the solution we use when we go camping to make sure we have dry towels. It’s a little bit simpler than dragging along a dryer.

Great food is one of my favorite parts of camping. However, you don’t always have a table to sit at. In fact, usually you end up sitting around a campfire with your food on your lap, and that can frequently mean you end up dumping your food on yourself.
In this camping minute Gary explains one lawn chair attachment you’re not going to want to be without - a little table. You’ll never want to camp without one again.
Whether you do your camping in a tent or a camper, you’ll probably find that the mattress you’re sleeping on (or lack thereof) is nothing like the comfy one you have at home.
So in this Camping Minute, our solution is simple - bring your own. I like the Aerobeds myself but just about any air mattress should provide a substantial improvement.

Sorry I’m just a little late getting up this week’s episode. In this week’s Camping Minute, you’ll learn some helpful tips for keeping mosquitoes out of your campsite by using tiki torches and citronella candles. In Episode 4, we talk about the advantages of taking an electric heater with you on camping trips. If your campsite has electric hookups, then it just makes sense. For example, rather than using your propane to heat your camper, you can use your electric heater which will save you money since you already paid for the electric site. Also, an electric heater is really handy if you run out of propane on a cool, fall evening.
In this episode of The Camping Minute, Gary explains why you should always make sure you take a deck of playing cards with you on your camping trips. They’re especially handy when bad weather forces you inside your camper or tent, and they can provide entertainment even when the weather is great. They take up almost no space, and the number of games you can play with them is almost endless.
