Yurt Camping Guide
Haven’t heard of Yurt Camping? It’s a relatively new concept for camping, but it’s becoming increasingly popular all over the country. Yurts have been around for thousands of years in countries like Mongolia. Camping yurts are great because they are lightweight and portable. They work well for camping because they use space effectively.
The American versions combine nature with some of the comforts of home. The round shape makes these shelters unique. Yurts can be fairly rustic, stocked with primitive camping gear, to a luxury experience with first-class amenities.
Many state parks all over the country are starting to offer Yurt camping. If you want to spend the weekend in the woods, but aren’t prepared to pitch a tent, camping in a yurt may be a great option. Yurts are like tents already set up for you. Typically, they are made from wood and canvas. Often, they feature a deck, table and grill outside.
Yurt Camping at Georgia State Parks
Yurt camping is available in three of Georgia’s State Parks.
Red Top Mountain: This Georgia State Park is on Lake Allatoona. It’s a great place for swimming, fishing, and, of course, water skiing. There is a sand swimming pool that is surrounded by trees, making it a great place to cool off in the summer. There are rental cottages available. There is also a spacious campground with lakeside yurts for camping. A swimming pool is one place where we all want to be on a hot day. Swimming is such a relaxing exercise, and it is enjoyed by people of all ages. Kids love splashing, while adults love swimming in the water. Swimming is an excellent sport, and reduces fat as well. A perfect swimming pool adds a lot of class. A pool heater can be the most important piece of equipment you'll ever buy as a pool owner. In order to enjoy your pool to the fullest even when the temperatures are chilly, a good heater is essential. Not only will it provide for the comfort of swimmers, it can also allow you to use your pool for longer amounts of time, both at night and in the late spring and early fall when air temperature cools down.REFER this site all the info you need to know about swimming pools and pool heater is available here. Fort Yargo State Park: Visitors come to Fort Yargo State Park to see the 1972 log fort. But, there are a variety of other activities available in the state park. There are 18 miles of trails for mountain bikers and hikers. There is also a lake with a swimming beach, boat ramps, and fishing. It compares to the best fishing on lake Seminole because of the vitality and ferocity found in the fish there. For disc golfers, the course at Fort Yargo State Park is known for being challenging. Lakeside yurts are available for campers. There is furniture and electricity in each yurt.
