Use Blocks Of Ice In Your Cooler

Buying ice for your cooler is one of the “not so fun” things about camping, especially if ice isn’t readily available inside the campground.

When you’re camping you want to enjoy yourself and have fun; not have to get in your vehicle, leave the campground, hunt down a gas station or store that sells ice, make your way back to the campground, and get the ice into the cooler before you can get back to hanging out and enjoying yourself.

We’ve made our ice buying excursions much less frequent when we go camping by buying a block of ice rather than ice cubes. A bag of ice cubes last about 1 1/2 days in our water cooler. A block of ice lasts 4-5 days which is often longer than our camping trip meaning we don’t have to make any trips to buy ice while camping - we get to stay inside the campground and have fun.
