New RV Versus Used RV
That’s the question that almost always come up when someone is looking for a camper or RV. Which is better, new or used? It depends what you are looking for. If you want the most up to date RV or camper, you want to choose the decor you want, and you want to be the first humans to use it, then new is definitely the way to go. New is the better option if it’s a motorized RV that’s more than 10 years old or has high mileage.
If you want to save some money, are flexible on decor and amenities, and are willing to use a RV or camper that someone else has “broken in,” used is a good choice in most cases. A used motorized RV should be purchased with caution if it’s getting up there in age and/or mileage.
The best bet is to buy from a reputable dealer who will give you a guarantee. They won’t always do this though, especially if the price is very low and you it is hard to find a private seller willing to give you a 60 day money back guarantee. Check out any used RV or camper thoroughly before purchasing. Take it to your mechanic if it has an engine. And check out this guide I found. It has more useful tips
