BugPatch All Natural Insect Repellent Patches Do Not Keep the Mosquitoes Away
The BugPatch Deet Free Insect Repellent Patches seem like the perfect way to keep mosquitoes from biting. The patches are easy to use, are not messy, are all natural, and do not have any DEET in them.
Instead they are supposed to keep mosquitoes, no see ums, black flies, and yellow flies from biting by supplying the body with thiamin B1, which is a natural insect repellent.
I tried them on a camping trip in the early part of August, using 2 patches. I put them on early in the morning because the directions say they need to be applied at least 2 hours before protection is needed.

I wore the patches for almost 4 hours but ended up taking them off because I got a really bad headache, and because I was getting bit even with them on.
But, there some glowing testimonials on the BugPatch website from people who have used them with really great results.
So you may want to try them even though they didn’t work for me because they are all natural.
They aren’t that expensive. I paid a little over $3 for 6 patches at WalMart.
I can’t recommend them though because they didn’t work for me and they gave me a headache. And, if you’re wondering how I know the headache was from the patches, I didn’t have a headache before I put them on and my headache went away within 60 minutes of taking them off.
I’ll continue to search for a DEET free mosquito repellent that works although this is the second DEET free product I’ve tried in the last month that hasn’t worked (click here to read about the Bug Off wristbands I tried during an early August camping trip). I won’t give up though. I already have a new product to try on my next camping trip. It’s another all natural product. I’ll let you know how it performs.
