Racing An Airstream

After the post I made a couple days ago on motorhome racing, I wondered if there’s anybody out there crazy enough to race an Airstream.

I don’t know if you’ve ever been to an RV show, but in the Airstream trailer, there’s usually a video playing showing how well an Airstream trailer tows and maneuvers when compared to a regular travel trailer.

So I wondered if anybody actually races these things. I wasn’t able to find quite what I was looking for but I did find footage of a race where the rule is that everybody has to be towing something and I you’ll see everything from popups to boats, and yes, even an Airstream being towed in the race.

Visit Yosemite National Park Without Leaving Home

Yosemite National Park is one of the most popular national parks in the United States, and for good reason. It is breathtaking.

Enjoy.

Motorhome Racing

You’re problem assuming that I forgot to stick an “and” in between the title of today’s post, “motorhome racing.” However, I did no such thing.

While motorhomes and racing have long been associated with each other with most if not all Nascar superstars owning at least one luxury RV, that’s not what I’m talking about today.

I’m talking actually racing your motohome. Yep, it’s as crazy as it sounds and can only be described as part racing, part demolition derby.

Check out the video and all the carnage:
