The Coleman Frywell Portable Fryer is truly portable because it runs on propane and not electricity, making it great for camping trips.

The portability of the Frywell makes it great for outdoor use at home as well when having a backyard party or family gathering because there are no cords to run for electricity and no worries about people tripping over the cords.

The fryer runs on a 16.4 ounce propane cylinder and comes with a 2 year warranty.

I really like its cool red paint job.

Other features include:
- 6 quart capacity basket that holds up to 1 pound of food
- shut off sensor to help prevent overheating
- spring-loaded lid with latches to keep it securely closed, preventing spatters
- view window in the lid so the food can be seen as it’s cooking
- built in carrying handles
- heavy duty steel basket with a fold down handle for easy storage

The best price I could find on the fryer was at Amazon for $147.99 (current on the date of this post)

While I like the fryer and may buy one myself, it’s definitely not a camping item I consider a necessity. It’s just a nice to have if you like to do deep frying.
