If you are looking for a great deal on an RV or a boat, check out the 13th annual Summer Boat and RV Super Sale in Richmond, Virginia on:
Friday August 24, 2007 from noon to 7 pm
Saturday August 25, 2007 from 10 am to 7 pm
Sunday August 26, 2007 from 11 am to 5 pm
at:
The Richmond Showplace in Richmond Virginia
The sale gives dealers the chance to sell down their inventory in preparation for the release of the 2008 models, and gives customers the opportunity to get a great deal on a new RV or boat.
The sale is said to be similar to warehouse sale - meaning you won’t see lots of pretty decorated booths but there will be bargains.
Admission to the show is free, along with free parking, and on-site financing will be available.
For more information and for directions on how to get to the sale venue, go to the official website for the sale by clicking here.
I admit that Spam is not my first choice of meat (nor my second, third, or even fourth); but it’s a food my husband grew up having and still really likes so I indulge him periodically by making him Spam and beans on at least one camping trip a year.
The best part about the meal is that it’s super easy to make. And, once you get over how Spam looks, it doesn’t taste too bad.
SPAM AND BEANS CAMPFIRE SUPPER RECIPE
Ingredients:
1 can Spam
1, 28 ounce can Bush’s original pork ‘n beans
1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
1 tablespoon molasses (optional)
Spray a 9×13 disposable foil pan (you can also use aluminum foil and make two equal size packets) with non-stick cooking spray; pour in beans, sprinkle on brown sugar, and drizzle with the molasses. Stir to mix.
Thinly slice the spam and arrange over the top of the beans.
Cover tightly with aluminum foil
Place on cooking grate over campfire and cook until beans are bubbling and meat is heated through - about 20-30 minutes depending on the heat of the fire.
Serve immediately.
