Yakima SkyBox Pro 21 - More Storage Space For Your Gear
Are you worried that you are going to have to tie one of your family members to the roof of the vehicle during your next camping trip just to free up enough room inside it to stow all the gear you need? Okay, all kidding aside, is stowing gear every camping trip like putting a jigsaw puzzle together where everything has to go “just so” in the vehicle in order to get it all to fit?
My husband has spent many hours packing and repacking our vehicle to get all the necessities (or what we decided were necessities” in the vehicle while still leaving enough room for the humans to get in there too.
Now there’s a new rooftop storage container that not only has a lot of storage room (21 cubic feet), but is aerodynamic and looks cool too. It’s the SkyBox Pro 21 from Yakima

The lid shape makes it easy to grab.
The super tough latch ensures your stuff will stay inside and not become scattered on the highway.
It is easy to put on and take off your vehicle.
The aerodynamic shape reduces wind drag.
It opens on either side so you never have to try and remember which side of the vehicle you need to be on to gain access.
There’s some cool optional accessories too:
- a LED light so you can actually see what is inside of it if it’s dark out without trying to dig around for what you need and hold a flashlight at the same time

- a cargo net to keep the stuff inside secure

- a mat to quiet the sound and not make it sound like there are monkeys dancing on the top of your vehicle while you are driving (this only applies if you don’t have the box so packed full of stuff that there’s not way anything is moving even an inch)

- a hanging bar to hang the box on the wall of your garage when not in use instead of you and everyone else in your family tripping over it.
