Camping is A Great Way To Get More Exercise

Camping vacations are the healthiest vacations my family takes. We always camp in a campground with hiking trails, biking paths, and/or swimming. We try to stay in state parks whenever possible because they cost is reasonable and the scenery is gorgeous which only encourages us to hike and bike more.

It’s great to get up in the morning and go for a short walk before breakfast. After breakfast is a good time to plan an activity for the day and head out. It might be a long walk on a trail, a bike ride through the woods, a swim in the lake, or maybe even renting a canoe or paddleboat to enjoy nature and being outside. Don’t forget to take healthy snacks and a light lunch with you.

Then, later in the day when you get back to your campsite you can relax and prepare a tasty meal outside. As dusk falls you might decide to take a walk along the pier and watch the sunset or even join the fishermen and see if you can catch something.

Every day is a day to exercise in a fun way when camping.
